Web3 is the idea of a new, decentralized internet built on blockchains, which are distributed ledgers controlled communally by participants.

Blockchain is a method of recording information that makes it impossible or difficult for the system to be changed, hacked, or manipulated. A blockchain is a distributed ledger that duplicates and distributes transactions across the network of computers participating in the blockchain.

Cryptocurrencies are digital tokens. They are a type of digital currency that allows people to make payments directly to each other through an online system. Cryptocurrencies have no legislated or intrinsic value; they are simply worth what people are willing to pay for them in the market.

DeFi, (or “decentralized finance”) is an umbrella term for peer-to-peer financial services on public blockchains, primarily Ethereum.

A tech stack is the set of technologies used to develop an application, including programming languages, frameworks, databases, front-end and back-end tools, and APIs.
