The Dundalk Jailbreak

Shite Talk: An Irish History Podcast · 2022-07-27

100 years ago today, on the 27th of July 1922, Frank Aiken (the future Tánaiste of Ireland) orchestrated the biggest jailbreak in Irish history when his battalion blew a hole in the side of the Dundalk Gaol. We got to record an episode about the jail break live from inside the Gaol (which is now the Oriel Centre) back in May and we're realising the audio for the centenary. If you've been missing us talking shite we've been releasing episodes all month over on the patreon, you can join here for a fiver to get access to all our bonus content! Also you can follow us on Instagram or Eventbrite to find out about upcoming live events (including the next one at the Edinburgh Fringe)

Shite Talk: An Irish History Podcast
