Gaby Moreno had quite the banner week last week. She made her US TV debut on Monday on the tonight show, won a Grammy on Sunday, and somewhere in between found time to chat and play music with us!
The extraordinary, multi-genre, multi-lingual, multi-aware winning, UNICEF Ambassador, singer-songwriter, Gaby shares stories of her marvelous career to date. From growing up in Guatemala and her early fascination with Blues music, to her arrival States-side and her first experiences with labels, to finding a community in the Largo scene in LA and subsequently her authentic musical voice. She tells us what it’s like to write a them song for a huge and beloved TV show, her love of Disney and much more!

"Sounds from the Cellar" is a podcast created by the Olive Tree Madmen, a New York City-based live band that plays every Monday night from 9pm to midnight at the Olive Tree Café (the restaurant above the famous Comedy Cellar). Each episode features the band in conversation with a special guest artist, who is not allowed to leave without performing a few songs with the band.
