Ranger Jayce Pearson (Joel McCrea) portrays the resourcefulness, and ingenuity of the Texas Rangers as he investigates everything from cattle theft, arson, robberies, and shocking murders in rural areas with not witnesses and few clues in cases, many of which were taken from the files of the Texas Rangers.
